The successful completion of an entry exam at a nursing training institute is required to be accepted into a Nurses Training Institute (IFSI) offering a work-study programme which issues the State Diploma in Nursing, now a recognised license. It is a 3-year programme. It includes 2,380 hours of theoretical instruction at the training institute and 2,380 hours of clinical internships both in and outside the hospital.
