As a prerequisite of this diploma, you must hold a State Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery and successfully complete an entry exam in a childcare school. The programme duration is 12 months following admission into a specialised school. Training includes 1,500 hours of instruction divided between theory and practical experience. Regarding this last point, students benefit from professional experience in the various early childhood sectors such as neonatology, paediatrics, maternity, maternal and infant protection (PMI), and hospitality facilities (nursery, daycare, etc.). Internships last an average of 6 weeks.
